Josephine Lim
[edit]Wikimedia Commons app project lead and Android developer, Outreachy alumna
I grew up in Malaysia, but have lived in beautiful New Zealand for several years and am currently based in Australia. I first started development work on the Commons app in 2015 as an Outreachy intern, and have been the official app maintainer since Sep 2016. Contributing to global progress and dissemination of knowledge has long been a goal of mine, and I am excited to be making it happen.

[edit]Wikimedia Commons App contributor, Outreachy round 16 Wikimedia intern, a free software supporter and feminist.
I have completed my bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering from Marmara University. I have some familiarity with other programming languages too, but still Java is the most preferable one for me. I work as freelancer developer currently, mostly for Android application development, and preparing to apply to master degree in Cognitive Science soon. Accessibility to knowledge and equality of opportunity are essentially important from my world-view. Therefore, I am happily a part of the community
Vivek Maskara
[edit]Wikimedia Commons Android App Team member and a full-time Android Developer.
I completed my BTech in Software Engineering from Delhi Technological University. I develop apps, create websites and blog about my app experiences. So far I’ve worked on many apps for these platforms, on all levels – as a single developer during late night hours and weekends, as a freelancer, and as a part of well-organized teams. When I was a kid I enjoyed collecting postage stamps and old coins. As I grew up I found an interest in reading fictional novels. I enjoy writing code, developing apps and creating websites. Java was the first programming language I learned and I still prefer it over the other languages with which I am familiar ie C, C++ and C#. As far as web development is concerned, I prefer working in the back-end ie managing databases and making web services. I also am a Microsoft Student Partner, a member of Microsoft India’s App Review Board and recognized as a distinguished member of Microsoft App Builders Club.
