1. Briefly describe how your proposed activities and strategies were implemented
We Developed activities to celebrate young wikimedians, their work and the communities shaping them in Nigeria,we also engaged in activities to bridge the knowledge gap on the theme "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages" in relation to the Nigerian context. lastly we engaged in activity(s) that highlights youth diversity and participation in the movement.
2. Were there any strategies or approaches that you felt were effective in achieving your goals? Please describe these strategies and approaches.
1. We launched a community survey to identify two (2) young Wikimedians (male and female ) with the highest number of edits from the four communities(Owerri Hub,University of Ibadan,University of Ilorin and Kwara state University) we worked with in Nigeria.
- 2. We organized a celebratory community event for the identified people to recognize and award them with prizes. We also shared with the WikiVibrance global coordination team to spotlight them through their social media and media partner.
- 3.We developed activities to bridge the knowledge gap on the theme "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages" in relation to the Nigerian context:
i. We organized a contest, an Edit-a-thon across the four (4) participating Nigerian communities with a focus on Wikipedia or wikidata with a focus on topics related to the theme "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages" in the Nigerian contest.
- 4. We engage in activity(s) that highlights youth diversity and participation in the movement:
i. We joined the communities from different countries in the Wikimedia movement to tell stories of our work and communities during the Wikimania conference which doubled as a global launch event for the International Youth Day 2022.

6. In your application, you outlined your learning priorities. What did you learn about these areas during this period?
1. We have learnt about the young wikimedians exhibiting leadership in different capacities in their communities.
- 2. We have learnt how better to support the work of young wikimedians in the Nigerian community.
- 3. We have learnt how our activites have created an opportunity to leverage our number and capacity as a strength for collective action in bridging the knowledge gap on this year's IYD theme Intergenerational Solidarity: "Creating a World for All Ages" on wikimedia projects.
- 4. We have learnt how this activities can increase youth participation, diversity and capacity in the wikimedia movement noting how important it is for movement sustainability.
7. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities?This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences?
8. How do you hope to use this learning? For instance, do you have any new priorities, ideas for activities, or goals for the future?
1. We will share this knowledge with the four communities members that we worked with during this campaign so we could embark on recruitment drive to increase the number of contributors in the Nigeria community.
- 2. We will harness on this learning to train new commers to improve thier quality edits in wikimedia sisters projects.
- 3. We will also leverage on this progress to extend a hand of good will to all researchers that participated with us during the campaign to often make use of wikipedia and its sister projects in their search for information.
