5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

Unexpected or Surprising Events:

Positive Situations:

Higher Participant Engagement: We saw much higher engagement from participants than expected. Many were very enthusiastic and proactive in contributing to discussions and activities, leading to productive sessions. Collaboration Opportunities: Several local organizations and community groups reached out to collaborate after hearing about our project, opening new avenues for partnerships and future projects.

Negative Situations:

Technical Challenges: On the second day, we faced unexpected internet connectivity issues, causing delays and disruptions. We had to adapt by using offline materials and improvising with available technology. Weather Disruptions: Heavy rain on the first day affected attendance, resulting in a lower turnout than expected and requiring us to adjust our schedule to ensure key sessions were covered when more participants arrived.

Learnings from These Experiences:

  1. Adaptability: The importance of being flexible and having backup plans for technical and logistical challenges was highlighted. We now understand the need for offline versions of materials and alternative activities.
  2. Community Engagement: The high level of participant interest reinforces the value of community-driven projects, encouraging us to plan more regular events and enhance our engagement strategies.
  3. Partnership Potential: Interest from local organizations demonstrated the potential for broader collaboration. Engaging potential partners earlier in the planning process will be a focus in future projects.
  4. Environmental Considerations: The weather disruption taught us to consider environmental factors in event planning. Future events will look into indoor venues or be scheduled during more predictable weather seasons.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

To share our project learnings, we will write blog posts and articles on relevant platforms and share updates on social media. We plan to organize community meetings and workshops to discuss outcomes directly with participants. A comprehensive report will be compiled and made publicly available. Additionally, we will host online webinars to present findings and collaborate with local media for broader outreach. So far, we've published an initial blog post, shared regular updates on social media, and distributed a preliminary report to key stakeholders.
