Gombe local government area stand as one of the largest local governments in gombe state.Gombe local government area consists of many different people,from different places and regions irrespective of ethnic groups and religions.In addition hosting a university focusing on science and art courses,college of education and computer learning institutions across it's background. Despite the considerable progress, gombe local government area face threat of climate change causing erosions and floodings across the local government area.

   As an active wikimedia editor,fortunate enough for gombe local government area to have,I feel the need and responsibility to initiate wikimedia promotion campaign and aknowledgement against climate change in gombe local government area.the program aims to give general knowledge on climate change causes,effects and control through wikimedia foundation,which will trigger the interest of many members of gombe local government area to partake in and contribute to wikimedia projects and therefore bring about development of wikimedia.the primary goal of the program is to adopt fresh wikimedia editors and giving knowledge on editing wikimedia projects to the newly adopted wikimedians and other less wikimedia literates.

The program's approaches involves recruiting 100 fresh wikimedia editors from different education institution through the three days climate change lecture that will be given,google meets for effective progress,seedlings plantation at some eroded areas and also the three education institutions visit for wikimedia awareness creation across gombe local government area.

Sir Ibee: Is an editor that edits wikimedia projects(i.e wikipedia,wikimedia commons,wikidata)and had also taken part in many wikimedia projects such as the my ability and disability,wiki climate campus tour and many more.Sir Ibee is the team lead and will also be among the organizers of the project. Ibjaja055:Is and experienced wikimedia editor.Ibjaja055 was the founder of federal university kashere wikimedia fan club.Ibjaja055 has participated in different wikimedia projects,he was the 4th highest contributor during the third edition of the African librarians week held from 22 to 29 may 2022.Ibjaja will serve as an organizer in the project. ABbabayo:Is an experienced wikimedia editor that took part in many projects such as the wikimedia awareness in Akko,wiki-climate campus tour and will serve as a facilitator in the project. Usmanagm:This editor is marked with a track record of successful facilitation and project delivery in the northeast region.His efforts resulted in addition of over 200 editors in the region,contributing effectively to wikimedia projects.Usmanagma will also be among the organizers of the project Shatubarkindo:shatubarkindo is a wikimedia editor that took part in many wikimedia projects such as the wiki loves SDGs and will be a facilitator in the project. Ahmad A.G:Ahmad is a professional in the view of climate change and will also be among the facilitators for the succesful running of the project. Usman Adams:Usman is also an expert in the view of climate change and will also serve as a facilitator of the project.

The target participants are people from different higher institutions and ethnic groups that can edit wikimedia projects in different languages.The participants will be from gombe communities across gombe local government area.The participants engagement will be implemented through sending letters to institutions on the project and by the use of social media platforms(i.e WhatsApp)to provide awareness of the project.For effective monitoring and progress social media group will be created to follow up with the participants of the project.
