Azogbonon, Charbel1719, whom I trained during a recent activity involving students, has shown significant progress since the beginning of our collaboration. We're particularly excited to have the support of Ross Patrick, the first in the country to hold a master's degree in pedagogy for reading Wikipedia in the classroom, and who takes an academic approach to his interactions with learners. It's worth noting that no major Foundation project has been specifically dedicated to librarians in Benin to date, and we're determined to fill this gap by introducing initiatives and activities tailored to this community.
- 9. Who are the target participants and from which community? How will you engage participants before and during the activities? How will you follow up with participants after the activities? (required)
The target participants of our activities mainly include librarians and students in Benin, with a particular focus on those wishing to contribute to Wikimedia projects, especially Wikipedia. We aim to actively engage this community in educational initiatives, training them to edit on Wikipedia and encouraging them to add verifiable, quality content related to Beninese culture and history.
Prior to the activities, we plan to involve participants through online awareness campaigns, information sessions in libraries and educational establishments, as well as the dissemination of educational resources on Wikipedia editing. We are also using social media and online platforms to create a pre-event community, facilitating communication and the exchange of ideas.
During the activities, we will set up hands-on workshops, training sessions and collaborative contribution events to provide participants with practical experience. We encourage active participation, discussion and knowledge sharing throughout the activities.
After the activities, participants will be followed up by the creation of a dedicated online community where they can continue to exchange, ask questions and share experiences.

Firstly, we hope to understand more about the specific needs of librarians and students in Benin in terms of contributing to Wikipedia and using Wikimedia projects. This includes an in-depth understanding of their current skills, their challenges and the specific areas where they wish to improve their knowledge.
We also seek to learn how to maximize the educational impact of our project. This includes designing training activities and workshops that are not only informative but also inspiring and motivating to encourage active participation.
In addition, we hope to gather knowledge on best practices to facilitate collaboration between librarians, students and other education stakeholders in the specific context of Benin. We want to understand how to create an environment conducive to the ongoing contribution and improvement of online educational resources.
