Wiki Loves Women
- 6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)
In recent times, there has being some instances where young Women are not giving their full rights to politics in Nigeria [1] and many more, also; a lot of Hausa traditions are against many Rights of Women. This project is aimed at creating awareness among young people and especially youths to value and honour the Rights of Women and thereby promoting the voices of prominent Women Leaders across Africa and in Nigeria at most. This project will target women associations as our focus area

- Online campaigns - via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram where we will call for participation which will target the females and flyers containing Women quotes will be shared
- Online meet up - After call for participation, there will be introduced to Wikiquote, WikiLovesWomen and SheSaid Campaign on GoogleMeet App, we will invite a Female or Gender Activist to sensitise on Women Rights
- Offline Campaign - Where interested participants will be engaged in training and writing competition about quotations from prominent women and thereby promoting them

Through this project, we wish to achieve the following: a). add women visibility on Wikimedia projects (Wikiquote) by adding quotes of or relating to women and promote them on various social media handles. b). we also want to add number of female editors on WIkimedia and therefore encourage them to be actively involved in Wikimedia activities. c). we also wish to develop Hausa Wikiquote (on Incubator) to be fully approved as a WIkimedia Sister Project.
