1. Basic Workshop and Monthly Edit a-thons from October to December 2024 - teaching basic editing to our members, volunteers and editors. 3. WikiClub Cebu Loves Women and Sustainability ( November ) - Cebu women are very active not only in arts and culture and advocacy but also in the realm of history, sports, enterprise and leadership and we wanted to highlight gender recognition while promoting sustainability advocacies of Cebuano women. 4. Wiki Loves Living Heritage Cebu (December ) - in recognition and continuation of SKAP's living heritage projects in Northern and Central Luzon, we will also run a similar project highlighting Cebu province's rich and vibrant living heritage and culture which spans as early as the Spanish colonization by Ferdinand Magellan in the 15th Century.

The founding chairperson of SKAP reached out to us, when we inquired about the Wikimedia community being inactive in Cebu and she informed us that if we want to start a WikiClub in Cebu as part of SKAP's expansion, we readily agreed. We knew that SKAP has had some interesting projects up their sleeve and we also wanted to replicate some of them in Cebu next in the near future. But acknowledging our little knowledge on Wikipedia projects and how the Wikiverse evolves, we decided that capacity development for our Wikiclub is imperative. We are aware of the fact that Cebu Wikipedia is among the biggest Wikipedias since the LSJ bot adn there has been discussions of shutting down or closing the Cebuano Wikipedia to give way for real humans to edit their own wikis. But since the challenge is that there is barely a community in Cebu which is one of the largest provinces in the Philippines in terms of population, language and economy, the we decided to heed the call and reactivate the Cebu community. However we also recognize that it might take a while for us to learn - but at least we are dedicated to learn and grow. So we seek patience from the Wikimedians to give us a short time to learn the ropes and after the capacity development, the we will gradually grow and expand to other towns in the province of Cebu.
