- Earlier on, there was a rapid grant application submitted for this event. For that application, there was a discussion about it within the Board of Trustees group, and all are aware and 100% behind this proposal.
- The next step was to check the dates for the opening of the Rapid grant window for this cycle to know when to apply.
- Thirdly, I informed the grant admin SSA about our proposed application and was given the go-ahead, with one or two observations.
- I began the application when the application cycle was opened.
- I notified the Tyap Wikipedia community on its community portal (please find the link here: https://kcg.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wukipedia:A%CC%B1na%CC%B1nwuai_sot-%C3%A1%CC%B1niet#A%CC%B1di%CC%B1dam_cat_kurum_mat_Wiki_Loves_Africa_2024_Sot-%C3%A1%CC%B1niet_Ntyap_%7C_Grant_proposal_submission_for_Wiki_Loves_Africa_2024_by_Tyap_Community_and_Atyapland_WikiOutreach ).
- However, the application was rejected due to the blocking of a co-signatory to the Tyap Wikimedians Organisation account in the English Wikipedia by an admin which rendered our application ineligible. But then since the co-signee has been unblocked, we decided to return the application to be able to hold this event in June 2024 if successful.
