隨著網際網路發展，相較過去任一時代，現代之知識傳遞速度變得飛快而便捷，例如維基百科之出現，讓知識得以深入每一個人的手中，並以共享形式獲得永續發展機會。知識之發展源於每一個人的貢獻，而這些貢獻之表達需要受到一定程度之保障，才能適度吸引人們加入知識發展之行列，此保障即是智慧財產權之本質。近年在臺灣，智慧財產之重視度逐年提高，惟智慧財產教育仍處於初步發展階段，本協會希冀透過講座形式，以維基媒體運動為核心，向學生講述智慧財產之觀念，並以維基媒體運動的各項專案（例如：Wikipedia、Commons等）作為媒介講述何謂開放知識，最終引導應用於教育與升學等場域，期許為下一代的開放知識運動者埋下種子，並使得智慧財產教育得以深入國家教育場域。

本計劃預期將在臺灣北中南三處舉辦實體講座，每場次計畫邀請一位講師並授課2小時整，為維持活動品質及預期效果，以小型場次為主，每場次預計觸及人數為正取15-20名，另有備取5名為原則。
活動內容主軸以智慧財產之觀念為主，過程中提供學員正確引用智慧財產之知能，如大學生在做研究、高中生寫報告與作業，抑或製作影片時，如何避免侵權與抄襲之風險，認識何謂抄襲與公有領域觀念，並以Wikimedia Commons作為範例，引導學員了解正確獲取資源之方式，以及認識創用CC等授權條款，最後以維基媒體眾多計畫為例，讓學員了解日常生活當中與維基之距離有近，並鼓勵學員投入開放知識之運動。

社團法人臺灣教育協會是一個由一群關心教育事務的青年共同組織，以推動教育，保障及增進學習者之權利，促進教育融合，關懷個體於社會及教育之處境，維護非主流群體權益，消解社會結構與教育體制之不平等為宗旨的臺灣非營利組織。在過去幾年，我們接受來自教育部國民及學前教育署、桃園市政府青年事務局、臺灣民主基金會、元大文教基金會的資助。
本計畫的主持人Subscriptshoe9，是一名資深的維基人，他有著11年的經驗並在中文維基百科擔任管理員，累計約有16,000次的編輯次數；同時他也是一位活躍的公民運動者，並擔任社團法人臺灣教育協會的理事，他還曾經在台灣教育部擔任諮詢委員，協助重大教育政策的推行。

我們期待可以透過這項專案，讓臺灣的兒少對於智慧財產權有更深入之了解，而主辦單位也可以透過此活動，去熟悉辦理活動之流程，以及如何有效推廣智慧財產權之觀念於台灣社會當中，因此我們會不斷蒐集在活動過程中之各項數據，例如文章觸及之群眾，或是參與之兒少數量等，來分析並不斷調整我們的工作模式，也能夠從中學習。
