Grants:Processing/Grantee Portal/Registration
This page documents a process common to all or most of WMF's grants programs. Please don't edit this page, but please do create a discussion page instead.
Registrations are reviewed manually. Please allow us three business days for you to receive a registration confirmation email requesting for you to choose a password. Email grantsadmin@wikimedia.org if three business days have passed and you have not heard back from us, and the email is not in your spam folder. Follow the steps below to create a new account for Fluxx Grantee Portal:
- Go to wmf.fluxx.io.
- Click Register Now.
- Read the instructions and requirements mentioned on the Registration page carefully.
- If the funding compliance statements are true, then select Yes.
- Click Submit. A new page will open with the registration form.
- Select your applicant type from the drop-down list under I am applying as a(n).
- Next complete ALL fields -- First Name, Last Name, Wiki Username, Street Address, City, Postal Code, Country, State/Province, Phone, and Email.
- If you are applying as a Group / an Affiliate / an Organization, then you also need to fill in the next section about your organization/group.
- Leave a note in the text box under Note to Wikimedia Foundation staff if you have something to communicate with us.
- Complete ALL fields for your organization --your Official Group, Affiliate, or Organization Name, Street Address, City, Postal Code, Country, State/Province, and Affiliate Code.
- Click Submit Request.
Important information to help registrations run more smoothly and with minimal delays.
Remember that registrations are reviewed manually, so please allow the Grant Administrators 3 business days to process your registration. Check your spam folder in case the password request email notification was routed there. Email grantsadmin@wikimedia.org, if it has been more than 3 business days, and there has been no password request or other communication from us about your registration.
One registration per person. If your grant request is approved for funding, your registered name represents the legal record for all funding received from the Wikimedia Foundation, and there cannot be more than one record per person.
One email address per person. Fluxx Grantee Portal only allows one active email address per person. This email address will be used for Grantee Portal communications (e.g. application related emails), linked to signing agreements with DocuSign, and other Grantee Portal related functions.
- If you have forgotten the email address you used when you initially registered for your Fluxx Grantee Portal account, email grantsadminwikimedia.org.
Multiple and incomplete registrations cause delay. All registrations require Grant Administrators to review. Even registrations that are rejected due to duplicate registrations. Reviewing multiple or incomplete registrations take up the time that could be used to process legitimate registration requests.
Register using a standard US or English language friendly keyboard. Since registrations can become grantee records (if even just one grant request is approved for funding), as a US grant maker, we need to be able to produce grant/grantee records in our local language, which is English. As a general rule, we do our best to be inclusive. There are certain limitations with the tools/software/resources we use, however. We apologize that we are unable to receive registrations submitted using characters that are not readable in English.
Resetting your Password
If you do not remember your password, press Reset or create a password and follow the instructions. Please, do not create a new account.
Go to wmf.fluxx.io and input the email address registered with the Fluxx Grantee Portal. Email grantsadminwikimedia.org if you are unsure what email was used to register.
