Budget breakdown
[edit]item | count | price per unit | sum |
---|---|---|---|
complete set | 5 | 300 | 1500 |
shared add-ons | 5 | 150 | 750 |
basic set | 10 | 75 | 750 |
tiny set | 50 | 10 | 500 |
total | 3500 |
We have promises from some manufacturers for discounts on regular prices. However, as it has been suggested, the budget rather counts with regular prices since promise isn't signed deal of course. Possible leftovers will be spent on similar things (mostly t-shirts) which would be used eg. as prizes for the writing contest we organize or for competitions on our public presentations, eventually if any donator would ask for one.
Project scope
[edit]Unified visual identity of presenters which mainly involves clothing, partially complemented with other equipment items. Supplied with a form of Wikimedia Czech Republic logo (lined, printed etc.), eventually in combination with Wikipedia logo or logos of other projects.
Perpetual presenters and representatives should be equipped with a complete set, occasional presenters should receive a basic set and share some other items together. Several tiny sets for one-time helpers should be provided as well.
Project goal
[edit]The goal of this project is to improve and thus partially professionalize the level of our public presentation - presence at fairs, exhibitions, conferences, lectures, speeches, panel discussions, media attendance etc. - by having a unified visual identity for participating people.
The secondary aim of this project is to appreciate work of our volunteers.
Non-financial requirements
[edit]Approval of usage of random logos belonging to Wikimedia Foundation. A clear declaration of which logo is supposed to be used (applies particularly on Wikipedia and Wiktionary logos) to prevent re-making of the items.
Fit to strategy
[edit]Random public presentations (presence at fairs, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, lectures, speeches, media attendance etc.) are important part of outreach and PR activities.
Appreciation of volunteers is common in volunteer organizations like us.
Other benefits
[edit]Unified visual identity will raise and improve visibility of individual brands / projects and will improve the overall impression of public from presentations.
Provision of such items is an appreciation of the volunteer's work and it attracts volunteers to help. (tested on humans) It also raises the identification of volunteers with the chapter and the movement in general.
Measures of success
[edit]The purpose and effect of this project is pretty self-evident and like in our other presentational grant, empirical measurement of the impact is quite impossible. However there are certain indicators which could give some ideas about it though: the number of events we'll attend using the stuff from this project, the number of people there who will see us this way, concerning other benefits also the number of satisfied volunteers appreciated this way. Also feedback from people.
