Stories about sharing

[edit]

Interesting stories about applying the skills I want to share.

Important team and volunteer management skills (adaptability, team building, self-awareness, problem solving, mentoring, assertive communication). + In my work, I have been involved several times in managing and coordinating 10 to 50 young volunteers for the Congreso Futuro and Congreso Jóvenes Futuro events, as well as leading the activities of the volunteers of the national deliberation program LXS 400.

Small editing events, campaigns and contests (Local instances of global campaigns or activities (e.g., local Wiki Loves Monuments events, #WikiForHumanRights, WikiGap). Local editing events designed to work with partners or new audiences in need of hands-on training. On and offline facilitation skills). + For the Chilean Wikimedia chapter I co-organized an editathon on the proposed constitution in Chile. The attendees created content transforming legal text into something more easy to understand.

Software and digital skills + During the last decade I have used digital editing tools for Wikipedia projects, such as Inkscape, Gimp, Audacity, VicuñaUploader, among other open source software. For an intern I used R code to automatically generate wiki text about the environmental characteristics of each commune in Chile.
