More to learn

[edit]

Further details about what I would like to learn.

1. Using Wikisource : As I am new with this side of Wikipedia, so really want to about how can I use this sources properly. 2. Bots: I need to run bots while arranging any edit-a-thon but as I don't know how to run bots, I have request the regular bot experts and that consumes a lot of time. 3. Basic wikidata use: Wikidata is a powerful option to sum up wikipedia. I know almost nothing regarding wikidata.

Stories about sharing

[edit]

Interesting stories about applying the skills I want to share.

1. Image donation: I am a professional photographer, recently I came in touch with a person who is one of my seniors at my college. He introduced me to the Wikipedia Commons where I can upload my pictures and thus contribute in the Wikipedia. From then, I'm trying to donate as much as photos I can. 2. Identifying topics to impact: Recently, I have worked in a project which covered the 73 years old history of my own college. This involved collecting old historical books and documents, finding releasable photos, interviewing people etc.Every year, thousands of people search online about our college and the history was also absent on Wikipedia. 3. Building organizational plans and strategies: As COVID-19 situation struck up, I with some of my friends to open a non profitable online organization to use the Facebook platform in organizing various cultural events as well as motivating everyone to do something creative in that lockdown situation. I was successfully able to organize two events from my organization.
