Grants:IdeaLab/Taking the turmoil out of Wikipedia curation
Project idea
[edit]What is the problem you're trying to solve?
[edit]The stranglehold that current curation has on updated content. As a result, the current content is not always 'current' and doesn't embrace any contributions from social media. Further, you practically need a software degree to get updates into the format required. This is ridiculous. We live in an instant culture. No one has the time or wants to spend it learning code to update an encyclopedia.
What is your solution?
[edit]A W button would allow Wikipedia content and images to be updated daily (Like the Pinterest P button), the way a live encyclopedia is MEANT to be.
Project goals
[edit]I would expect that updates would move away from a censored communist curation approach to a truly free, open and accessible encyclopedia that anyone could contribute to.
