Project idea

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

There is a need for strategic interaction between the Community and the WMF leadership on the long-term direction of the mission and a high-level view of the technical programmes required to deliver it. Currently that interaction is tactical, partial, fragmented, inefficient and not as effective as it could and should be.

What is your solution?

This is a multi-stage process with some rather ambitious requirements further down the road. My proposal is an initial portal to a unified discussion space requiring facilitation and modeation; growing out into effective virtual networking and inperson interactions alongside various mission activities; technical support by way of an ambitious translation tool.

Some experience – rather mixed – on the English-language Wikipedia. Considerable experience as a charitable trustee, board member and strategic adviser in the public and third sector.
