Grants:IdeaLab/Stop Liberal Bias

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki
Stop Liberal Bias
Wikipedia has become plagued by liberal bias and online hordes stomping out opposing ideas. That is not a library of knowledge. If you go to a library, you can find both Locke and Hobbes. This place should be a bastion for competing ideas as they are logged as part of the full library of human knowledge.

Project idea

[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

[edit]

Liberal bias and liberal harassment of those with opposing ideas on Wikipedia. Wikipedia has become plagued by liberal bias and online hordes stomping out opposing ideas. That is not a library of knowledge. If you go to a library, you can find both Locke and Hobbes. This place should be a bastion for competing ideas as they are logged as part of the full library of human knowledge.

What is your solution?

[edit]

Pay high-level managing editors that operate as independent auditors outside of the Wikipedia staff and volunteer structure that are a member of a 7 or 9 member auditor panel to evaluate highly active posts receiving X amount of complaints of bias and/or harassment.

Opposition

[edit]
  • While I probably agree with the main point (some liberal bias on Wikipedia), this idea has little to do with harassment. --Doveofsymplegades (talk) 08:50, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
