Promoting Wikipedia Daily Article Mailing List

A Major reason why wiki movement is still not widespread in many countries is because people only search wikipedia when they need it. Wikipedia doesnt interact back with its readers. We need to generate curiosity amongst readers and bring them on wikipedia not to just read what they are looking for but also expose them to new information that they are currently unaware of. Information that might be interesting to them, might add to their knowledge and shape their lives ahead in different ways. Creating more awareness about wikipedia daily article mailing list can help with this. Even most of the active wikipedia users are unaware of such mailing list. Introducing existing users to such mailing list will make wikipedia a part of their day to day life. We need to inspire the existing readers to read more and they in turn will definitely share what they find interesting.

A good way would be to introduce school kids to wikipedia and ask them to subscribe to the Daily Article Mailing List

We can make wikipedia articles more interactive by asking readers to rate the article after they have read it. Another way to measure the outcome would be to simply count the increase of subscribers to the mailing list
