Grants:IdeaLab/Involve Teachers at College and University level
1. The teachers/Professors have this view that it is a community developed portal and therefore the information provided there authenticated. 2. They refuse to accept that they have been borrowing contents or information from this portal. 3. They do not explore all the references and external links. 4. They do not observe the Talk page in order to explore the debates which can be equally relevant. 5. They do not follow up the different references given in every section.
6. They are unduly casual about the contents. They are not ready to contribute to the contents. They have the feeling that it is not useful because they do not get any credit for undertaking such task.Audience

Project idea
[edit]What language Wikipedia projects will you promote to new readers?
[edit]English, Hindi and Punjabi
How will you communicate with new readers? Will you be communicating with them online, in-person, or both?
[edit]I am ready to address any issue or debate on the points which I have raised.
Describe your idea to engage new readers. How might it be implemented? What will you tell people about Wikipedia?
[edit]Think about the steps that might be involved to make this idea happen, and what you might teach people about your experience or others' experiences using Wikipedia.
I do it on regular basis. I try to add to content with the idea that if someone reaches the content to seek content related to his or her syllabus, I may feel satisfied. However, I have observed that there were regular alterations undertaken about the contents. It sometimes discourages when you find that some person probably at Wikipedia has his own views on the issue. I have found that there is some cultural bias on topics dealing with Social sciences.
I have already done some activity which can give a practical form. I have developed Wikipedia Books on specific topics. They I have tagged them to relevant posts on the blog. During the course of my actions related to the compiling of Wikipedia Books, I have observed that similar actions by other users on Wikipedia. Such books can be located presently in Wikipedia Books. I have done this job already. I provide some of the examples as follows:
1. http://generalstudiesupsc.blogspot.in/2017/04/economy-of-india-wikipedia-collection.html The book was developed for the use of Civil Services Aspirants. They are equally useful for the students of economics in India.
2. http://generalstudiesupsc.blogspot.in/2017/04/internal-security-and-disaster.html The book is related to a topic in General Studies Mains paper for Civil Services papers.
3. http://generalstudiesupsc.blogspot.in/2017/04/india-basic-lesson.html A book on India which can be useful for all the students and competitors for difference entrance examinations.
4. http://generalstudiesupsc.blogspot.in/2017/04/science-basic-lessons-wikipedia-free.html These are set of books which were actually developed by some school level teacher for the student pursuing ICSE course. This is the actual idea.
How will you know if this project is successful? What are some outcomes that you can share after the project is completed?
[edit]If you’re not certain about how to respond to this question when starting your idea, you do not need to answer it right now. Campaign participants and Wikimedia Foundation staff can help you consider some options.
presently I have no idea. I have just shared my idea with the hope that some teachers and researchers join in. In 2005, when this idea of Wikipedia was developing one teacher of Europe floated the idea that if some articles were not nicely written, then he or she should do it on a voluntary basis only to remain sincere the field of knowledge.
Do you think you can implement this idea? What support do you need?
[edit]Do you need people with specific skills or resources to complete this idea? Are there any financial needs for this project? Do you need advising from Wikimedia Foundation staff?
The person who understands to format the wiki pages is welcomed with open arms and even get all the credit for it.
