Grants:IdeaLab/Getting up to speed on WWII Japanese American history
Project idea
[edit]What is the problem you're trying to solve?
[edit]As in the real world in the US, the history of WWII exclusion and incarceration of people of Japanese descent is written about sporadically and inconsistently throughout Wikipedia. During a time when certain groups are threatened with exclusion from the US based on ethnicity and religious affiliation, it seems appropriate to beef up the information that we have already on a past historical misdeed on a government scale.
What is your solution?
[edit]Incorporating Densho.org as a resource, create new and expand upon current entries around the topic.
Who will you be doing outreach with?
[edit]The Japanese American communities via the Japanese American Citizens League and word of mouth.
