[edit]What is the problem you're trying to solve?

The underrepresentation of disabled artists across all artforms on Wikipedia
What is your solution?
[edit]For the problem you identified in the previous section, briefly describe your how you would like to address this problem. We recognize that there are many ways to solve a problem. We’d like to understand why you chose this particular solution, and why you think it is worth pursuing. Remember to review the tutorial for tips on how to answer this question.
Bringing together disability arts organisations with their expert knowledge and experienced Wikipedians (along with WikiProject: Disability) to create a number of new pages about disabled artists and disability-led arts organisations as well as improving existing ones. Notability has been the biggest barrier to this, so individuals with experience of how to pass notability criteria and find solid sources will be needed.
Project goals
[edit]What are your goals for this project? Your goals should describe the top two or three benefits that will come out of your project. These should be benefits to the Wikimedia projects or Wikimedia communities. They should not be benefits to you individually. Remember to review the tutorial for tips on how to answer this question.
Hopefully, dozens of new pages on individual artists and organisations, plus improvements to existing pages. This will add to the richness of the Wikipedia community and greatly improve the diversity of people represented on the Encyclopedia.
Who will you be doing outreach with?

[edit]About the idea creator
[edit]I work for Disability Arts Online, one of the UK's leading journals covering the work of disabled artists. Over the last 18 months we have hosted a series of Editathons with support from Wikimedia UK aimed at getting more pages on disabled artists on Wikipedia. The project has been an uphill struggle and we need more support for it. I have personally started two successful Wiki Pages and edited a number more since joining, but my Wikipedia editing skills are still very basic.
