summarySundanese Wiktionary was created in October 2004, but after that very minimal activity occurred. The problem faced is how to increase the content in Sundanese Wiktionary, and the important thing is how to build a community in Sundanese Wiktionary itself. I feel that the Sundanese language is one of the local language that is under grave threat, because the government and the people do not care to preserve the language.

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

Sundanese language as one of the local languages in the territory of Indonesia, some figures have been compiled dictionaries, one of them is Jonathan Rigg compile a dictionary "A Dictionary of the Sunda Language of Java" in 1862. Currently Sundanese language is worrying, in several areas in West Java, Sunda language speakers diminished. This alarming same fate with the fate of Sundanese Wiktionary is not growing at all. The cause of this is the absence ketidakberkembangan Sundanese community Wiktionary itself. So that two fundamental problems that must be improved Sundanese Wiktionary its content and the number of Sundanese Wiktionary community to be built.

What is your solution?

Wiktionary Sundanese build communities from several agencies related to Sundanese Language, and after the community was formed then the community is responsible for the development Sundanese Wiktionary.

Project goals

Targets to be achieved is the creation of an online community of Sundanese Wiktionary (as most linguists Sunda work offline) so that the community can improve Wiktionary Sundanese content of up to 150,000 words and their derivative words.
