Wiki Camp Kwara will be the first of its kind in Kwara State, Nigeria, affording young Wikimedians the opportunity to bring Wikimedians, Wiki enthusiasts, and open knowledge advocates to gather, connect, deliberate, discuss and proffer solutions to topical issues that focus on community building, knowledge sharing, and critical issues such as skills development of community members, exploring wiki projects, among others.

Survey analysis:
- 1. How many people did you send the survey to? How many people responded to the survey?
The WikiCamp Kwara conference which is to be held in Ilorin, Kwara State from the 24th to 26 November 2022, launched a 10 days survey (24th May - 2nd June) on various platforms. The questionnaire was sent to over 70 participants and 35 people responded to the survey. The summary of the survey results can be found here.[1]
- 2. Did you see consensus around shared goals that this community wants to focus on in the next 12 months? What were the top 2 goals?
Yes, there were similar opinions from many proposed participants which is a shared goal that we will focus on in the next 12 months. However, strategic planning and discussions were the top two goals.
- 3.Based on survey responses, what are the most important things your community should do at the conference to achieve those goals?
According to the survey, the most important things our community needs to do at the conference are Presentations or panel discussions with experts, Thematic meet-ups, and Movement strategy.

- 1. What inspired your community to begin planning this event?
- Wiki Boot Camp Kwara will be the first first-ever conference in Kwara. This event was based on the desire to bring about a forum for both new and existing volunteers within the Wikimedia movement to interact and network, share ideas with each and learn from experienced Wikimedia about the movement, building upon the existing skills that have been learned.
- 2. How does this event relate to other activities that your community is working on?
- Various events have been organized such as training by Fan Clubs, SDGs related projects for the development of Wikimedia projects. This project is meant to build on the successes of other events that have been organized.
- 3. Do you have any Thematic or Regional committee or group? (Such as WISCom, CEE, Iberocoop, etc).

[edit]- 1. Do you have any proposed venue for the event? If so, please share details (such as: how far is it from the airport or transportation hub; how close is it to the hotel, do you anticipate any challenges with using the space for the event you are planning?)
- Yes. The venue is Monarch hotel and the hotel is about an hour drive to the venue of the conference.
- 2. Is the event venue and hotel accessible for people with physical disabilities?
- Yes.
- 3. Are you planning to outsource some of the services? For example - a travel agency, an event production service?
Yes. We plan to outsource air travel for speakers to a travel agency.

- For both new and experienced Wikimedians.

If your conference has an outreach component to also target non-wikimedian individuals or mission aligned institutions, can you explain your intention for this outreach (for example: how will you ensure engagement with these participants after the conference, and what impact do you see them having on the projects)?

- 4. In which ways can Wikimedia Foundation staff support your event onsite? If you would like support, please list the different capacities in which we can support, or describe how you would like Wikimedia Foundation staff to be involved in the event. - We would like Wikimedia Foundation staff support for training facilitation.
Scholarships

- Scholarship will cover local inter-state transportation, accommodation and feeding.

- Scholarship committee will be constituted for this purpose.
- 3. Do you plan to target or prioritize specific communities or participants?
- Our target community is Kwara community members.
- 4. How will you insure diversity and inclusion in your scholarship process?
- Scholarship committee will ensure that they are all inclusive in their scholarship decision-making.
