Given considerable interest among this group to carry forward some of these conversations, we are now working on bringing people together in the form of an informal Future of the Commons Collective, where we hope to discuss emergent issues and continuing challenges, share ideas and feedback and brainstorm solutions related to some of the above areas together. We hope to co-create the structure of the collective together, and hence are looking to begin with a series of monthly talks, lectures, demos and conversations which offer some context and introduction to the larger topic of the future of the commons.
In this series, the following online talks are conducted:
- Digitalisation, AI and Indian Languages by Kalika Bali, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research Labs India on August 28, 2024 between 4-5:30 PM
- Digital Archives in India: An Impending Tragedy of the Commons? by Maya Dodd, Director of the FLAME Centre for Legislative Education and Research at FLAME University, Pune, India and co-Director of Milli Archives Foundation on September 30, 2024 between 4-5:30 PM
