Please complete your Chapter Finances Survey by Friday, May 25th, so that it can be considered by the Funds Dissemination Committee Advisory Group and can be used to develop recommendations for the Wikimedia Board of Trustees.

7. When does your financial year end?

In 2011: 31th december 2011.
However, we plan to change our financial year from calendar year to July-June year with in 2012 a temporary "6 months" financial year from January 1th, 2012 to June 30th 2012 and then regular financials years from July 1th to June 30th.
This change have to be approved by our General Assembly end of May.

  • Wikimedia international (grants to small chapters): 5,920 $
    • Grant to Wikimedia Canada to fund "Wikipedia takes Montreal"
    • Grant to Wikimedia Ukraine to fund a cross contest on both Wikipedia in Ukrainian (about France) and Wikipedia in French (about Ukraine)
  • Chapter meeting in Germany (grant to WM DE): 13,849 $
  • Wikimania Haifa (scholarships): 13,359 $
