Fundraising email campaigns

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

The Wikimedia Foundation regularly runs fundraising email campaigns. Emails asking for donations are sent to those in the WMF's donor database, which is populated when donors opt-in for future email communications when they make a donation. As of 2019, the Wikimedia Foundation sends out a maximum of three email appeals per donor per year.

Moska Shaver is currently the WMF's Fundraising Email Associate, managing the international fundraising email campaigns. Each year since 2012-2013 (as of 2018), the WMF has contracted Trilogy Interactive, LLC for emailing donors.[1]
