Frohe Kunde vom Subkontinent: Cindy lebt und hat Zeit für das Wichtigte im Leben einer Korrespondentin. In ihrer heutigen Audio-Botschaft stellt sie uns zwei Menschen vor, mit denen sie eine Zigarette geraucht hat. Dazu übermittelte sie diese Zeilen:
Cindy ist in Pondicherry gelandet, der ehemaligen französischen Kolonie an der Ostküste Indiens. Bis vor vierzig Jahren gehörte die Kleinstadt zu Frankreich. In 20 Jahren wird "das hier wie San Tropez", sagt Cindys Pensionswirt. Bis es soweit ist trinkt Cindy im Pyjama Tee in alten Kolonialvillen und sammelt Kraft für das groe Transenfestival von Koovagam. Cindy triftt eine der Teilnehmerinnen (u.a.) und stellt fest: Sadhus und Gurus sind oft anderes, als man denkt und auch beim Sex ist in Indien die Familie immer (irgendwie) dabei.
