Fante Wikimedians Community/Radio Awareness Tour
The Fante Wikimedians Community is embarking on a Radio Awareness Tour as part of its outreach strategy to promote the use of Fante Wikipedia and encourage the creation, sharing, and preservation of free knowledge in the Fante language.
This initiative seeks to engage the broader Fante-speaking community through local radio stations, bringing conversations around digital language activism, Wikimedia projects, and the importance of documenting our language and culture online to the airwaves.
Through radio discussions and interviews, we hope to raise awareness, answer community questions, and encourage participation both as readers and contributors on Fante Wikipedia and related Wikimedia platforms.
Objectives

- To promote the preservation and growth of the Fante language through digital platforms.
- To recruit new editors and volunteers from Fante-speaking areas.
- To foster partnerships with local media and educational institutions.
