Wiki Loves Africa 2025 in Gombe Network is part of the an annual Wiki Loves Africa contest where anyone across Africa can contribute free multimedia content relating to the campaign theme that is relevant to their experience to Wikimedia Commons for use on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects to stand chances of winning prizes.
This year's theme: "Farm to Plate"
The Farm to Plate theme invites media submissions (photos, audio, video) capturing the journey of food from farms to consumption. This includes:
- Agriculture & Farming: Fields, farming activities, crops, livestock, poultry, fisheries, farmers at work, weeding, harvesting, and farm machinery (tractors, plows, tools).
- Food Processing & Distribution: Mills grinding grains, factories processing food, bakeries making bread, butchers preparing meat, markets, and distribution centers.
- Culinary Arts & Cooking: Chefs and home cooks preparing meals, food styling, traditional and modern cooking methods, kitchen tools, restaurants, cafes, and dining experiences.
Submissions should highlight any part of the process that transforms farm produce into food.
