Where do the gender stats come from?

Abstract/description

Although the gender percentage is reported on Wikipedia, the statistics are drawn from Wikidata via a weekly update on Humaniki. To ensure that as many biographies as possible are included in those statistics, I check reports on Wikipedia to look for biographies without Wikidata items, with Wikidata items but without P279 sex or gender and also a Wikidata report on items with no statements. Work also includes checking for Wikidata duplicates and merging.

What I am hoping to achieve

A greater awareness of where how the statistics are generated and reported.
Demonstration that editors can engage in much more than content creation when editing.
