Tasmania as a subject and a topic

Abstract/description

Tasmania is unique, as it is the only state of Australia on an island. The history and context of the state, and of the wikipedia content about Tasmania offer the experienced and new editor a range of issues that show diversity in all its dimensions - of the population and its environment.

What I am hoping to achieve

At the end of the session, participants will have learned a little more about Tasmania, and the issues of the context of history of the island, and the relationship with the mainland of Australia, and how that affects diversity in the history and diversity in the issues about Tasmania.
After the session the understanding of content related to diversity and how it is organized in the larger Australian field.

Relationship to Wiki skills or to the theme

Participants will have seen how Tasmania is situated in Wikivoyage, Commons, WikiData, and Source - and how diversity issues affect each project and how they inter-relate
