Criteria
[edit]The award of scholarship funding will be based on your responses addressing the following questions:

[edit]- Will you still come if you receive a partial scholarship or no scholarship at all?
- What are you hoping to achieve?
- What skills are you hoping to learn?
- What are you hoping to teach?
- What sessions have you proposed?
- Will your contributions help Australian First Nations content?
- Will your contributions help Australian content?
- Are you from a minority group?
- Are you from regional or rural Australia?
- Are you a new editor?
Criteria for refusal
[edit]Failure to have complied with any of the conditions can result in you application be decline. WMAU also reserves the right to remove certain people due to their conduct on/off-wiki, UCoC and WMAU Safe Space policy apply to this event.
- The applicant received a scholarship for Wikicon Australia 2023 (in Brisbane) but did not complete their post-conference report(s) before the due date
- The applicant is a current or past grantee from any WMF Grant program and has been found to be non-compliant.
- The applicant is currently globally blocked by the Wikimedia Foundation or the community.
- The applicant has failed to demonstrate any significant Wikimedia contributions or activities which may merit the awarding of a scholarship.
- The application is empty.
- The application consists of content which is off-topic or abusive.
- The applicant has failed to make a reasonable effort to answer the questions on the application form.

[edit]Are the scholarships only for Wikimedia Australia members?
- Australian Wikimedians are able to apply for scholarships regardless of whether they are members of Wikimedia Australia.
If I can't attend Wikicon Australia 2024 in person, how can I participate?
- There may be an option to join virtually as the event may be a hybrid event.
