GLAM pages revamp Working Group meeting
[edit]Welcome!
The GLAM pages on Meta will go through an update. The goal is to bring together information about the GLAM-Wiki activities, documentation, contacts, learning, materials into a single entry point. The idea is to collaborative take care of a set of key documents and make sure they are localizable for all necessary contexts as well as collect information about further resources produced by the multifaceted GLAM-Wiki community. Click on GLAM pages revamp in the main menu to view sketches for the pages.
Please join this planning session that sets the direction for the upcoming work. Sign up in the Event section above. Welcome!
This event is hosted by Evelin Heidel, Giovanna Fontenelle and Susanna Ånäs.

Outcome of the meeting
[edit]Alicia presented Metabase, a Wikibase for recording Wikimedia movement activities, and Susanna presented the GLAM pages revamp proposal she has made. This is a proposal for the next meetings based on the discussions but altered for better overall flow.
- We agreed that the next step will be another introduction to Metabase & the revamp project for a broader audience. WMSE will present Metabase while Susanna will try to test the integration of Metabase data into the pages. After that, the work continues in a series of hands-on workshops. This introduction can be part of the upcoming GLAM call, but in a condensed format.
- The first workshop will be focused on the structure of the pages and a roadmap. We can decide to prioritize specific sections to work on first, change the structure, simplify or deepen the desired knowledge on the pages.
- The second one could focus more on the inventory of resources in the Wikiverse, including how-to's, videos, articles etc. Eventually, these resources would be imported to Metabase where they can be queried. Among these resources, we will identify and curate important topics that we choose for collaborative care and maintenance, either creating new resources or adopting existing ones.
- Maybe at this point, we can start working on introductory texts on the pages and updating the resources selected for collaborative care.
