The Wiki Loves Monuments Lazio 2024 ceremony celebrates the winners of the rich cultural heritage of the Lazio region through the Wiki Loves Monuments 2024 photography competition happened in September. Participants captured wonderful images of museums, archives, libraries, theaters and thermal baths, showcasing the region's historical and cultural treasures.
We will be hosted by the German Academy at Villa Massimo, a prestigious cultural institution located in Rome. Founded in 1913, it offers fellowships to ten promising German artists each year, providing them with studios, living spaces, and access to Rome's main cultural institutions. The academy is housed in a beautiful villa surrounded by lush gardens, offering a serene environment for creativity.
The academy also hosts a variety of public events, including exhibitions, concerts, readings, and outdoor activities, becoming a hub for artistic exchange and cultural enrichment, fostering connections between artists from different disciplines and backgrounds.
