Successful Collaboration between Wikimedians of Albanian and Iniciativa MODERNe

We are excited to announce the successful completion of a remarkable collaboration between the Wikimedians of Albanian and Iniciativa MODERNe! This joint effort saw architecture students from Kosovo contribute to the enhancement and creation of articles on Albanian Wikipedia, focusing on the rich history and significance of modern architecture in Kosovo.

The initiative aimed to bridge the knowledge gap in the Albanian language on modern architectural practices in the region. The architecture students, with a keen interest in preserving and sharing Kosovo's architectural heritage, took part in this edit-a-thon, where they created and improved articles that highlight key structures, architects, and the evolution of modern architecture in the country.

This project represents a significant step towards enriching Albanian-language content on Wikipedia and promoting Kosovo’s architectural legacy. We are proud of the students’ contributions and their dedication to this initiative, which showcases the importance of preserving cultural heritage in the digital age.
