  • Gu: professional translator for Korean community. Attract more Korean people
  • Pru: Time zone, how to handle the time zone issue? For a large global event, we need an ESEAP-friendly timezone
  • Irvin: Perhaps, each country can have an assigned translator, either a professional or a fellow participant may do the translation as the conference goes.
  • Pru: Are we meant to develop ONE global implementation plan, or can we have an ESEAP region implementation plan? ---> There is one global implementation plan, but the community can prioritize specific plans.
  • Hoang: Vietnam communities are afraid of joining this kind of events because the government dislikes some articles related to politics and may control Wikipedia secretly. Most editors prefer to work in the dark but we also have some members who want to join our group.
  • Bel: what is the difference between the big and small events in terms of topics discussed during the events? ---> big events: for coordinate, alignment, decision-making. Small events: report back to the communities
  • Pru: Could we set up online SHORT surveys to ask individuals or communities to sort their priorities for the recommendations? Translated in our own language. This can get many more responses Consider a banner for logged in editors for a couple of weeks in each language. We could ask the question about regions, languages and projects people are interested in, and map the priorities several ways.
  • Zaw: the community isn’t really interested
  • Irvin: True, there are community members who are only interested in editing and not so in taking part in the Strategy thing.
  • Jojit: How to engage the online community? Because they’re only interested in volunteering or editing. We must come up with a plan to get their voice.
  • Pru: Make a video or cartoon of each recommendation, using simple English or minimal text- telling a story so people are more comfortable with understanding what each recommendation might  ‘look like’ if it were successfully implemented.
  • Hoang: Some editors complain that the Wikipedia survey has so many questions. At the beginning of the survey, they do answer seriously but after 20-30 questions, they pick randomly the answers so that the survey quality may not be good. We should focus the survey by topics/themes and use some examples to explain the questions clearly if needed.
  • Irvin: The audience should be an average Community member who edits from time to time and somehow has an idea about the Movement, but not "veterans" or hardcore Wikimedians.
  • Pru: Is there a time that we should bring back group/chapter priorities?
