Collaboration with CC Indonesia (walking tour, curation of public domain works). Digitisation project (for 10 years). GLAM Wiki Month in May for International Museum Day with edit-a-thon.
- Alice in Australia. 5th annual edit-a-thon in National Gallery Australia, part of Know My Name for International Women’s Day. Next in Alice Springs, then Darwin. Partnership with Alice Springs Public Library of 1000-image collection, cultural sensitivity process, 100,000 views a month.
- Mike in New Zealand. No WANZ GLAM staff member, but have a Wikipedian in Residence at Auckland Museum, who coordinates summer student internships, one graduate is now the WiR.
- Heidi in New Zealand. In Te Papa (the national museum) staff members are editing as part of their digital outreach duties, including Wikidata (12,000 people on museum database now in WD). Edit-a-thons, 1lib1ref. This might also be of interest for getting images like GLAM images into Commons: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:GLAM/Museum_of_New_Zealand_Te_Papa_Tongarewa/The_whole_GLAM_package
- Siobhan Leachman (Ambrosia10) was Wikipedian in Residence in Te Papa for three months to develop a data model for scientific expeditions—difficult! https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Te_Papa_Research_Expeditions Presented work to museum curator conference. She also updated the group on the Biodiversity Heritage Library, Meta; and the efforts of the BHL-Wiki Working group. See the BHL meta page for more information https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Biodiversity_Heritage_Library. Also works with 300,000 images from Flickr now in Commons, working on SDC.
- Shinji Enoki: Recently joined Wikimedians of Japan User Group, which is very small, so scope of tasks is very broad. Wants to do GLAM activities in Japan too, but they are still considering this idea. Involved in over a dozen open source and open data communities, but LibreOffice is primary project. (He met Butch at COSCUP a few years ago.) He was off-wiki (supporting edit-a-thons, etc), mainly doing outreach work.
