ESEAP Conference 2022/Submissions/OpenRefine for Commons: skill-sharing from a visit to Europe

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

[INSERT_TITLE][edit]

Abstract/description[edit]

I received a Paul Reynolds Scholarship to spend the month of September in Europe, visiting GLAM institutions and seeing how they were using OpenRefine, particularly for uploading images and structured data to Commons, and to learn how this process is being improved. I'll share what I've learned in a short hands-on workshop with handouts and practice data.

Relationship to ESEAP or to the theme[edit]

The purpose of the session is to bring together people interested in OpenRefine, Commons, and SDC throughout the ESEAP area so we can support each other and share tips and ideas.
