Policies and Guidelines: DCW Support and Assistance Program was launched in April 2023. Subject to following criteria, our active volunteers may seek internet data support in order to aid their contributions on Wikimedia projects:
The volunteer must be having a three-months old established Wikimedia account.
The volunteer should have contributed with over 500 global edits during the last three months. They should have created and improved over 10 articles (recommended) during the last three months. The links are to be included in the request. .
They need to submit a brief contribution plan for the next 3 months. This includes telling us how many articles they are planning to write and what other online activities could be achived with the internet support.
Community discussion: No online community discussions are required. The reviewing DCW member will review the volunteer's on-wiki contributions prior to approval. Timing: It is recommended that the request be submitted two weeks in advance. Once approved, please allow us a week to process the support.
Lessons and renewal:
DCW recommends the volunteers to share lessons and experiences that they learn from their activities, as these are important for our evaluation plans.
The volunteers may submit a request for renewal of internet support two weeks prior to the expiry of current plan, explaining how they have completed their proposed work.
