The second preparatory workshop of the DARIAH-CH GLAM working group aims at collaboratively coordinate the directions of the DARIAH-CH GLAM working group. The workshop is online on December 3rd, 2024, at 4pm CET.

Questions
[edit]- In your opinion, is there anything missing from the results (challenges, opportunities, success factors) from the 1st preparatory workshop?
- In your opinion, are the pillars of the WG comprehensive enough to foster successful cooperation between different stakeholders and to successfully reach its objectives?
- In your opinion, are the overarching objectives (2025-2028) and the objectives for 2025 realistic? Is there anything missing? What would you change?
- What concrete actions would you recommend to achieve the objectives?
Update: Report on the discussions during the workshop
[edit]A total of 24 persons attended the second preparatory workshop, from the following areas: arts and humanities researchers, data management experts, GLAM professionals, university librarians, data stewards, and digital scholarship specialists. Participants worked in two breakout rooms and discussed the pillars, the objectives and the mission of the WG. They accepted the pillars as they were formulated after the first preparatory workshop, and proposed small revisions for the objectives and a reformulation of the mission. In the final discussion, participants gave suggestions of concrete lines of action to be implemented starting with 2025:
- focus on training
- collaborate with existing initiatives
- raise funds in a structured and collaborative manner
- organize joint events
- implement easy-to-achieve joint projects
- create a common collaborative space for the WG
- invite GLAM institutions to join the DARIAH-CH Consortium
