Pop-up upon selecting text
- Problem: Sometimes, an article doesn't include a Wikilink for an important word. This isn't a huge problem but it would be nice to have the pop-up wiki box when selecting a word or term.
- Proposed solution: When selecting a word while reading a pop-up appears with some options like: Select paragraph/section - Copy - Search Wikipedia/Wikimedia - Quote in discussion - Translate - etc.
- Who would benefit: Readers

I personally would not like this, so I hope it would be implemented as optional. Libcub (talk) 23:17, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- I suspect this is intended to be an option in preferences similar to page preview preference is now. Kimdorris (talk) 03:43, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

- Support It could be an interesting system - if it was also implemented as like when you select text you have the option to search Wikipedia or Wiktionary for it Ed6767 (talk) 15:33, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support If this is implemented the way page preview popup is available under preferences I would definitely use it. Kimdorris (talk) 03:45, 31 January 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose i think this would get annoying. Besides right click, long tap already brings up "Lookup" for me, a OS native option which basically does the same. —TheDJ (talk • contribs) 17:20, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
