Favorite an article with a gold star
Archived in favor of Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Watchlists/Grouping watched pages
- Problem: The most important articles to a particular editor get lost in a big watchlist
- Who would benefit: Editors who watch a lot of stuff
- Proposed solution: Add the possibility to "favorite this article". A favorite article would be represented by a golden star where the blue star currently is. Favorite articles (or pages in general) would always appear at the top of the watchlist. A favorite page would also include all the other characteristics of a watched page.

- Hi @Bageense:, thanks for your proposal. Per my understanding, you're asking to define a hierarchy of watched pages and it seems like the Multiple Watchlists proposal would also satisfy this use case. It might be complex to add another icon to the UI as there are already quite a few icons and that stars and already used as an icon on Minerva Neue pages while other skins say "watch".Would you mind if we merge your proposal with Multiple Watchlists? Please let us know, thanks! NAyoub (WMF) (talk) 03:46, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- Ok. At least this time someone asked me to merge my proposal, unlike last year. Bageense (talk) 21:27, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry about last year! We had a similar "Multiple watchlists" proposal then too, and I agree it should fit your use case and more. With your word I am archiving this inf favor of Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Watchlists/Grouping watched pages.
