Issues-based Discussion for Articles Submitted

Edit wish Discuss this wish

Description

In addition to Talk pages for Wikipedia articles, issues-based discussion could be provided for contributors.

As envisioned, a new tab could be provided for each Wikipedia article. This new tab, Issues, would indicate the number of currently open issues for that article. Visually, this might resemble: [Article] [Talk] [Issues (123)].

Clicking on these three tabs would, respectively, navigate users to:

  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_title
  2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Article_title
  3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Issues:Article_title

When contributors navigated to an article's issues page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Issues:Article_title), they would be able to browse a paginated list of its (open) issues.

While articles' issues might have text titles, they could also each be uniquely identified, e.g., numbered, so that they could be more easily hyperlinked to from articles' talk pages and from across the Web.

The URL to an individual issue might, then, resemble: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Issues:Article_title/123.

Thank you.
