Make it easier to edit wikis without needing to know Wikitext Open
Description
I'm a new Wikipedia editor. Although it's possible to edit articles using VisualEditor, the available functionality is much less than that of source editing. However, learning how to edit source code completely is difficult. I hope that Wikipedia organizers can consider ways to reduce the cost of learning. Or optimize the VisualEditor to make it easier to use. Of course, the same problem applies to other wiki platforms besides Wikipedia. Details are as follows:
- I would like to see a public "template library" when adding templates to an article, so that editors can choose one to use.
- Visual editing is not available when editing map modules in an article. You can only edit the source code by searching for keywords such as "map", "location", etc.
- Some articles use data from Wikidata, which I first saw and wanted to modify. I searched the source code for a long time but couldn't find a relevant keyword. Later, I discovered that I needed to make edits on Wikidata so the data in Wikipedia could be synchronized.
