Make it easier to edit wikis without needing to know Wikitext Open
Description
I'm a new Wikipedia editor. Although it's possible to edit articles using VisualEditor, it's far less practical than source editing. However, learning how to edit source code completely is difficult. I hope that Wikipedia organizers can consider ways to reduce the cost of learning. Or optimize the VisualEditor to make it easier to use. Of course, the same problem applies to other wiki platforms besides Wikipedia. Details are as follows:
- When adding templates to an article, I would like to see a public "template library" so that editors can choose one of them to use.
- When editing map modules in an article, visual editing is not possible. You can only search for keywords, such as map, location, etc., to modify the source code.
- Some articles use data from Wikidata, which I first saw and wanted to modify. I searched for a long time in the source code but couldn't find a relevant keyword. Later, I discovered that I needed to make edits in Wikidata so the data in Wikipedia could be synchronized.
