Our first preparatory meeting was in November 2007, and we were accepted as a chapter in January 2009. We are currently in the process of legally registering with the state.
The biggest development is the relationships we have established with outside partners (Free Culture groups, civic groups, museums, libraries).
We don't have a formal membership system yet, but there are about 20 people actively involved.
