Austin moves to elect Delphine Ménard to the position of chairman; Łukasz seconds the motion. A vote is called: the results are three in favor, one abstention. Delphine is elected without opposition.

Proposal for a rewrite of article 3, § 2 of the Wikimedia CH bylaws

[edit]

Following concerns expressed by Jean-Baptiste Soufron and Austin Hair, the Committee works to draft a new version of article 3, § 2 of the Wikimedia CH bylaws. All agree to propose the redaction found at [1]. This draft is proposed to the legal team for final approval.

Proposal for a rewrite of the Foundation Web site's page about local chapters

[edit]

Arne Klempert has proposed a reorganisation of the Foundation Web site's page concerning local chapters. The Committee reaches consensus in favor of adopting this revision.

[edit]

The Wikimedia UK logo displayed on their Web site as of 2 April 2006 does not comply with the Wikimedia visual identity guidelines, namely with regard to the proportions of the logo's individual elements. All agree that Wikimedia UK is to be advised by the Committee to change it to a compliant logo; the Committee will provide a suitable one in the interests of expediency.

Review of chapter licence agreement

[edit]

The chapter committee and the legal committee are to draft a licence agreement for chapters. This item is tabled until further notice.

Trademarks and transliteration

[edit]

Use of the trademark Wikimedia is briefly discussed—specifically, its transliteration in certain projects and chapter efforts. The Wikimedia Foundation position that trademarks should be kept intact is affirmed by the Committee.

The Committee adjourned at 22.45 UTC, 2 April 2006.
