Chandan Chiring, a tireless member of the Assamese Wiki community, has passed away! But Chandan's simplicity, dedication and hard work will always inspire us and he will always live on in the Assamese Wiki community. To perpetuate Chandan's memory, Assamese Wikiquote is organizing a “Chandan Chiring Phukon Memorial Wikiquote Edit-a-thon”. The online edit-a-thon will be held from 1 May 2024 to 31 May 2024.
The online programme will be held from 22 April 2024 to 28 April 2024.
Contributors must each have a wiki account.
The subject of the quotations will be persons from India. These pages must be newly created.
Quotations must be accurate and augmented with online verifiable sources. Contributors can also translate from English Wikiquotes. The number of #quotations must be at least five quote per page. Pages created by a participant cannot be edited by others while the programme is running.
A list of individuals from India will be provided on the project page. Contributors can add other names to this list.
