CIS-A2K/Events/Workshop for Women's forum

CIS-A2K conducted an online workshop for the members of 'Women's Reader Forum' on 16 November 2021. Total 38 members participated in this two hour workshop.

The introduction to all Wikimedia projects was given in the beginning. Then according to the likings of the members, the different projects were explained in detail. The participants have expressed their interest in working with the libraries, relicensing of the books, recording of audio books, working on Wikisource and Wikipedia. In this session, members also discussed the reading habits, access to online books, various technical issues in handling digital content, needs of the new generation etc. They were also introduced to digital repositories on the internet for reading in Marathi language.

As the group was elderly one, they have shown interest in joining the offline workshop for hands on training. The follow-up activity is being planned.
