Train the Trainer Program
Train the Trainer (TTT) is a residential training workshop to groom leadership skills among the Indian Wikimedia community members.

TTT 2015 was organized during 26 February to 1 March 2015 in Bangalore. In this page you'll find a comprehensive report of the workshop.

26 February

TTT 2015 started on 26 February at 8.30 am after all registrations were confirmed and verified. In the "introduction" session, participants were asked to introduce themselves and discuss their contribution and Wiki-experience in brief.

In the "Welcome message", T. Vishnu Vardhan discussed prospect, scope and aims of this initiative.

All trainees delivered 4-5 mins presentations on different projects and topics related to Wikimedia based on their pre-works.

27 February

On 27 September in the first session L. Shyamal discussed different aspects of copyright policies. He explained the differences between patent trademark, copyright. He also discussed topics like URAA, Threshold of originality. He was asked a good number of questions those he answered wonderfully.

After that he talked on information literacy and Internet research techniques for Wikipedia editors.

NVV Char discussed on the importance of Did you know (DYK) portal and game a live demonstration on how to submit a DYK nomination.

28 February

On 28 February a field tour was conducted to Janapada Loka, a rural folk culture museum and institution in Karnataka. Participants left the hotel early in the morning and reached the location before 12 noon. Participants were divided into three small groups with having one guide and at least one native Kannada language speaker in each group.

1 March

1 March was the last day of the workshop. Wikimedia India representative Ravishankar Ayyakkannu and Yohann Thomas joined this day's session. The first presentation of the day was delivered by Tinu Cherian who discused two topics— a) mobilizing mainstream media to cover Wikimedia success stories, and b) best practices to promote the Wikimedia movement on the social media sites.

T. Vishnu Vardhan talked on the challenges & opportunities in building an Indian Language Community online.He gave the Telugu Wikipedia's example and explained that how they tackled these issues in that Wiki.
