Is Wikipedia the answear
By: Misamisa2001, Stan Matei-Stefan

Hi, my name is Stan Matei-Stefan, or, as I’m called on Wikipedia Misamisa2001. I am 20 years old, I am a first year student at the College of Philosophy, University of Bucharest and a second year student at the College of Energetical Science, University Politehnica Bucharest. I am from Romania, and so I have participated in this project of learning to edit on Wikipedia as a member of my country and university (philosophy).

The process of creating the account was very intuitive, it was like any other site. The strange part was that the email was not a necessity and I think this might have as a consequence unwanted bots and people who want to do harm to the site activity. But, all in all, the process of creating the account was fine.

So, after you have create the account, there are two ways of learning how the site works. Once you created the account the site selects from articles that have already been made and shows you the basics of how to edit them, with clear instructions and images. What I enjoyed about that kind of editing and learning was that it felt really easy. And the second way of learning how to be a wikipedian is through the Wikipedia courses, which I think are a very complete guide through all of the editing and moderating and learning what you should and shouldn’t write.

When creating an article I was a bit confused about how to make connections between already made articles and what I was making. But after I searched on Google I found the answer. In my opinion my best friend when creating my article had the option of seeing things like a person entering my page would. That gave me lots if insights about arrangements on the page.

Another problem I have encountered was that I first created an article about “Andrei Dosa”, who is a poet from Romania who didn’t have a Wikipedia page. After I made it, the page got deleted for the reason of not being relevant. The coordinator said a bot deleted my page.

After that I created another page about a philosopher, Isaac Pulgar, and I think the second time things went way smoother. Isaac Pulgar is one of the most relevant jewels of the fourteenth century. I learned about him during my introduction in philosophy seminar this year. My teacher recommended it to me, seeing that I was interested in this topic.
