In Austria we've been experimenting with a new photo contest format in the last two years, which includes elements of Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves Earth and other photo contests. The result is WikiDaheim, a project that focuses on the villages and regions of Austria, which the project aims to collect information on, be it in text form or as pictures, audio or video. You can find the project page on German Wikipedia.

There is also a photo contest included in this project which runs from July 1st to October 7th. Basically, any picture taken in Austria can take part in the contest, new ones as well as historical pictures. The website is now also available in English, with plans to also provide a Hungarian, Croatian and Slovenian versions, at least. If you're interested in translating the website into your own language, please contact us! You can also contribute directly via GitHub.
